Overview

Sometimes, a request may be automatically approved or rejected without any action from an approver. This can happen when automated systems mistakenly trigger approval or rejection links.

Why This Happens

Some email security or anti-malware systems automatically scan links inside emails to check for threats.
When this happens, these systems may unintentionally activate “one-click approve” or “one-click reject” links.
As a result, a request can be approved or rejected even though the recipient didn’t take any action.

How to Prevent Automatic Approvals or Rejections

To stop this from happening, turn on the For Recipients to Sign In option under Advanced Options.

When this feature is enabled:

  • Recipients must sign in to confirm their identity before approving or rejecting a request.

  • This ensures that all actions are performed by real users, not automated systems or bots.

Turn On “For Recipients to Sign In”

  1. Open your PerformFlow add-on.
  2. Go to Configuration.
  3. Scroll down to Advanced Options.
  4. Turn on the For Recipients to Sign In switch.
  5. Click Save to finish.

Once enabled, recipients will be asked to sign in before performing any approval or rejection actions, ensuring more secure and accurate responses.
